Ford recalls 117,000 vehicles over seat belt defect

Ford is recalling more than 100,000 vehicles involving a defect with seat belts.

Ford is recalling 117,000 vehicles because bolts in the seat, seat belt or seat belt buckle may fracture. The recall involves several models from the 2014 and 2015 years. Most of the affected vehicles are in the us, but there are about 20,000 in Canada and 1,500 in Mexico. The automaker is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to the defect. Customers will be notified and dealers will replace the affected bolts for free.
