For the first time in 100 years, two churches came together to celebrate.
VICTORIA, Texas — While approaching the Victoria Community Center hundreds of cars packed the parking lot for a special event.
Jenie Rubio, Committee Member said, “We are here today celebrating our annual harmonica but for the first time in over 100 years our pastor, father Jacob Koether decided to bring both communities together to celebrate Our Lady of Sorrows and Our Mission Santisima,”.
Both churches came together as one to fellowship with one another.
“This is our biggest fundraiser of the year. So it brings the communities together and at the same time and bring revenue to the church,” said Rubio.
More than 300 individuals attended the event the people were able to enjoy a live auction, food, and they had a chance to win a raffle prize.
Socorro Davila, Chair Member of Santisima said, “This is a huge, huge blessing to see all these people coming together. We can’t say more than thank you, Jesus, for letting us be here today,”
