Flyers lose to Second Baptist in area round

The Flyers’ season came to an end Friday night with a loss to Second Baptist School in Wharton.

St. Joe lost to SBS 21-0 on Friday in a game their offense never was able to get it going. The Eagles limited the Flyers run game — one of the team’s strength’s all season long — to just 32 yards rushing in the first half.

After a scoreless, back-and-forth first half, SBS broke through with the game’s first points on an 11-yard touchdown reception from Jaylon Coleman. The Flyers were unable to strike back, and were held scoreless in the second half.

St. Joe finishes the season with a 7-4 record.
