Five active cases of COVID-19 among Victoria County Jail inmates, 5 among staff

VICTORIA, Texas – There are five Victoria County Jail inmates with active cases of COVID-19, according to a report by the Texas Commission on Jail Standards. Additionally, there are also five active cases of COVID-19 among jail staff.

The report also shows that there are 253 inmates quarantined/isolated and five jailers that are quarantined pending test results.

On Monday, the jail closed down access to the front lobby.
