Field of Honor Postponed Until October
Although warriors weekend has been postponed this year due to COVID - 19, a very important part of the tradition will still take place, just a bit later than normal.
The proud Field of Honor flags will still fly high this year, in tribute to our military heroes past and present. Typically, the Field of Honor flags are displayed in May, but due to the COVID -19 pandemic, the event has been postponed until later this year. We spoke with Colonel Mike Petrash with the Field of Honor, and he says that this years field on honor will be extra special, and fitting for our current time.
“It’s going to be a special time, because this year we are going to also celebrate the sacrifice and the service of our first responders, in addition to our veterans. so this is going to be a first ever combined field of honor. we are to have special recognition times, special ceremonies…and we encourage everyone to come out and support us,” said Petrash.
