Family Outdoor Expo draws thousands to Son Valley Ranch

The free event is beloved, appreciated by children in attendance

VICTORIA, Texas – The 16th annual Family Outdoor Expo drew thousands of people Saturday to Son Valley Ranch.

Shuttles were provided at Victoria West High School to the venue.

The event was free of charge and was designed to provide fun outdoor activities for children who may have not access otherwise.

Brady Atkinson and Kingston Schuler share more:

“Soccer, rock climbing,” Brady, 13, said.

“Hay rides,” Kingston said.

“Frisbee golf,” Brady said.

“Snow cones, there’s fishing,” Kingston said.

“My favorite part was definitely the octopus game,” Brady said.

“Why do they do this for free, like, don’t you  have to pay money,” Kingston said.

“I think it’s really nice,” Brady said.

“You should totally come here next year,” Kingston said.

The event was sponsored by area businesses and several faith organizations.
