Family continues to ask for publics help 3 years after Antonio Vela Jr.’s disappearance

VICTORIA, Texas- Monday marks the third anniversary of the disappearance of Antonio Vela Jr. His family hoping to bring him home soon.

On the busy road of Navarro, passing cars honked at the sight of Vela’s picture. He he was last seen in 2017 outside of local Sports Bar and Grill. 

“It’s been… it’s been horrible, not knowing anything. Just that we’re not going to give up hope finding him,” says mother, Ninfa Vela.

The Victoria Police Department is the lead investigating agency, we reached to them, they responded with a short written statement saying in part:

“This is an ongoing investigation, we are continually getting new information…due to this, the case is not considered a cold case.”

“They’re still following leads and investigating, from what I’ve been told by the detectives, it’s been really hard for the last 3 years, not knowing anything. We just want the public, if they know anything, to please come forward,” says Mr. Vela, father of Antonio.

“Don’t forget him, don’t forget that he’s still out there, keep spreading the word, that he needs to be home, that he’s missing, and he needs to be brought home,” says sister Natalie Vela.
