Family Concerned For Safety of Missing Victoria Man
Family and friends are frantic after the disappearance of a 36 year old Victoria man.
“He’s always calling his dad, he’s always calling his sisters, and for him not to respond to none of us is out of the ordinary. We’re just concerned and want him home,” says his sister Sara Lott.
His name is Antonio Vela Jr. He was last seen leaving Sports on North John Stockbauer Drive around 2 a.m. Thursday.
Now after nearly 48 hours without any word, many fear the worst.
“Supposedly he was going to stop at a store to get something to eat, but we don’t know if he made it to the store or even home after that. So we’re confused from 2 a.m. until now,” says Lott.
His disappearance is sparking attention on social media and worry within his closest family and friends.
“I think we’re all in shock trying to find him. We just want him home safe.”
Police say Vela’s car was found abandoned on the side of Venglar Road in Inez around 3 p.m. Friday. The case is under investigation.
Meanwhile family members just want to bring Antonio back safely.
“I’m numb because he’s my brother and I want him home. We love him,” says Lott.
Lott says Antonio Vela Jr. was last seen wearing jeans, black shoes with a white Nike check, and a gray T-Shirt. if you have any information about this case, contact the Victoria Police Department.
