Faith boys basketball loses, girls win

Faith basketball split in their TAPPS regionals on Saturday

VICTORIA, Texas — Faith basketball split their TAPPS regional playoff games on Saturday, with the boys losing to Hunstville Alpha Omega 56-37 and the girls defeating Bryan Allen Academy 48-18.

Evan Tijerina led the Cougars with 12 points in the Faith loss, but the Cougars could never get into a groove as they fell to the number one team in the state. Faith Kucera led the Lady Cougars in the second game, scoring 15 points. Jade Thomas added 12 points for Faith, who now own a 20-11 overall record and will advance to the state tournament.
