Fair to Partly Cloudy with Hot Afternoons and Humid Nights through the Weekend

No Significant Rain

Fair to partly cloudy skies accompany air temperatures in the 90s and heat indices over 105 degrees late today, with only an isolated shower or two along the coast. A south southeast wind at 10 to 20 mph is keeping humidity in place, and will continue to do so through the weekend without benefit of significant rainfall. A major pattern shift involving much higher rain chances begins to develop early next week, so farmers needing to get crops in should rush to do so through the next few days. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain is possible Tuesday through Thursday. Expect highs in the 90s, cooling to the 80s Wednesday and Thursday. Lows will linger in the 70s.
