Fair to Partly Cloudy; Hot and Humid

Steamy Nights and Stifling Afternoons

Upper level high pressure locked in over South Texas once again is trapping Gulf moisture and inducing searing heat to create sweltering conditions over the Crossroads. Feels like temperatures between 105 and 100 are commonplace over the area, and several more afternoons of extreme heat are anticipated this week. By late week the core of the upper level high shifts into the southern Rockies and may allow a weak surface trough to bring isolated showers on Thursday. However, this will create no appreciable change in temperatures. Expect highs from the upper 90s to around 100 Tuesday through Sunday, with lows in the middle 70s.
