Fair Skies, Lower Humidity, and No Rain Next Several Days

The combination of high pressure both at the surface and in the upper air will allow clearing skies with cool to mild nights and warm afternoons for the next several days, and also give soaked fields and swollen streams a chance to expel some water. Meantime, as fair skies prevail, it will be a good time to catch up on outdoor activities. The next chance for rain will come up the middle of next week, when a cold front brings scattered thunderstorms next Wednesday. In the tropical Atlantic, a disturbance 1000 miles ENE of the northern Leeward Islands is likely to become a tropical cyclone by this weekend. At this time it poses no threat to land.
