Ethel Lee Tracy Splashpad now open to the public
Mayor Paul Polasek and the Victoria City Council were in attendance for the grand opening of the new Ethel Lee Tracy Park Splashpad. The Splashpad, which cost five hundred thousand to build, includes four picnic tables and solar powered lighting, along with numerous splash zones. Victoria resident Rachel Bush says she couldn’t be happier now that the Splashpad is open.
“I think it’s great to have a new park out here, especially on the Northside where there aren’t many attractions for kids. So, it’s a nice, quick, trip from home. I think it’s great and I think it’s a great way for parents to meet other parents and kids to have good social interactions with others and, just have fun in the heat.”
The Splashpad will be open daily from 10 am to 7 pm from now until September 1 and will be open on weekends until October 1st.
