Empty Bowls Event Helps Fight Hunger in the Crossroads

Once a year Victoria College hosts their Empty Bowl Project to help fight hunger in the Crossroads.

“The proceeds from this event go to local agencies that assist feeding the hungry,” says Sherri Pall.

Many came out to support the cause.

“This is great and it’s to feed the hungry and feed the people,” says Rene Reyes.
“It warms your heart and when you can be apart of it. And to give to it feels even better,” says Sherre Cregg.

“What they’re doing here with the Empty Bowls project is just amazing,” says volunteer Donald Jirkovsky.

This year, more than 900 bowls were created, and organizers are hoping to help as many people as they can.

“That’s what its all about. Trying to help those that have a need in Victoria.”
