Edna Woman Accused of Killing Boyfriend Charged with Murder
An Edna woman has been charged with murder after initially claiming self-defense.
Amber Nicole Sorenson was accused of shooting and killing her boyfriend, Jarrett Parker back in February.
We first reported, On February 7th, Sorenson told a 9-1-1 dispatcher she shot her boyfriend.
Parker was found dead in his home from a single gun shot to his chest.
Deputies questioned Sorensen that morning and again on a later date.
She says she picked up the handgun and pointed it at Parker in self-defense.
Sorenson turned herself in yesterday morning, but bonded out today.
Sorenson is also charged with Manslaughter, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon against a family member.
