Edna Police Chief Clinton Wooldridge announced his retirement after serving for 36 years

Edna Police Chief Clinton Wooldridge has announced his retirement after serving the Enda community for 36 years. Wooldridge says Edna is a good place to work and after his retirement, he will find his next passion in life.

“I’ve changed a lot in the last 10 years, more than any other time and it’s because of two different reasons. Number one is because I finally accepted Jesus Christ into my life and then I had grandchildren and so those two things changed a guy for the better. So my goal in life now is to reduce my stress, extend my life, extend my career. That’s what I want to do,” said Clinton Wooldridge, Edna Police Chief.

Wooldridge says January 1, 20-21 is his official last day on the job. Edna City Manager, Gary Broz says he’s accepting applications until August 21st to begin the process of filling the Edna Chief Officer position.
