Edna High School unveils 2020 commencement plan
VICTORIA, Texas — Edna is the latest area high school to announce a plan for 2020 graduation ceremonies.
The Edna ISD announced on Monday that they will hold a graduation ceremony honoring the Class of 2020 while adhering to social distancing guidelines and capacity limits imposed by Governor Greg Abbott.
In order to follow those guidelines, the district announced each graduate would receive five tickets for reserved seating, with only ticket holders allowed into Cowboy Memorial Stadium. Gates will open at 7:00 pm on Friday, May 22nd.
Audience members must remain seated in their graduate’s designated seating area during the ceremony, and only one person will interact with each graduate to hand their diploma.
A senior slide show will be displayed on the big screen at the stadium prior to the ceremony.
