East Girls Soccer Comes Off Tough Loss
Titans Lose Duel With Veterans Memorial
East girls soccer, coming off a tough Tuesday night home loss.
The girls lost their district showdown with Veterans Memorial, 3-2. The East girls still remain in second place and pretty much have a playoff spot in hand. Two Titan girls told me how tough that loss was for them.
Said left midfielder Arin Williams, “It was pretty sad . We played our hearts out and we could’ve done things differently. But overall we did a good job, and if we see them in the playoffs, we’ll have them. ”
Said defensive midfielder Isabella Martinez, “It was pretty tough. But I thought we learned a lot. We were the first team to score on them in district this year. That gave us a confidence boost. It really helped us not be as disappointed.”
East boys and girls soccer continue district play Friday night in Corpus Chriti against Moody.
