East Football Preview & AP State Top 10

East football, now in fourth place in district at 4-3 with three straight losses. The Titans came so close to ending that losing streak, with Caleb Longoria hitting David Cuevas with an 85 yard touchdown pass to take the lead over Ray with less than two minutes to go in the fourth. But, the Texans hit on a 90-yard pass for the game-winning touchdown with about a minute to go. Head coach Roland Gonzalez told me how proud he was of his team’s effort. “If we look at it positively that’s one thing our kids have done week in and week out. They play hard. It’s unfortunate we fell short this past week but you can’t take away the effort from the kids.”
East football faces a must win game in its regular season finale Thursday night in Corpus Christi against Moody.
