East Football Looks To Rebound After First District Loss

East football, coming off a district loss for the first time this season.
The Titans, falling to Flour Bluff to drop to 4-1 and into second place in district. Brandon Tumlinson rushed for 120 yards and four touchdowns, but had to leave the loss to the Hornets in the fourth quarter due to a rib injury. Head coach Roland Gonzalez did not comment to me on whether Tumlinson will play this Friday night. Coach Gonzalez talked with our Sean Coffey about how the team has reacted to the loss. “Our kids have always been on an even keel. We take our wins as they come. This loss was tough but they’ve bounced back quickly.”
Another big district game for East football this Friday night. The Titans face district leading Veterans Memorial at Cabaniss Stadium in Corpus Christi.
Cuero football will host Llano in district action Friday night despite the flooding in the Llano area. The Gobbler subvarsity games against Llano scheduled for Thursday night at Canyon Lake high school have been canceled.
