East Football Focuses On Friday Night Scrimmage 8-21
Titans Travel To Bay City
Victoria, Texas —
East football, in its first full week of pre-season workouts with pads.
The Titans, coming off a trip to the bi-district playoffs, have five returning starters on defense, four on offense. East has a new starting quarterback in Ethan White, a new starting running back in William Garley. Koby Levigne is back as a starting receiver, joined by new starting wideouts Damien Robles, Evan Brown and Terrance Terrell. Our Sean Coffey asked two of the Titans how they felt the team is shaping up.
Said quarterback Latavian Johnson, “Our receivers, our quarterbacks, our running backs, we’re all looking good right now. As we come together as a team and get more chemistry, and a closer bond as a team, we’re getting stronger and we’re ready to face our opponents this season.”
Said wide receiver Koby Levigne, “We’ve been waiting on this. I knew as school got out I was waiting to get back to football. Just being able to be back in pads, it’s a good feeling because we’re able to do good on the field and actually get a feel for how the game’s actually supposed to be.”
East football’s only pre-season scrimmage comes up Friday night at 6:45 at Bay City.
