East Boys Basketball Starts District Short-Handed
Titans Battling Injuries, Illness
Victoria, Texas —
East boys basketball, not at full strength as they start district play Tuesday night.
While going 1-5 at the South San tournament last week, the Titans had one starter out with an ankle injury, two other starters out with illness. At Monday’s practice, four Titans were missing due to the flu. Head coach John Howie told me how much bad health is hurting the team.
“A lot of adversity surrounding the program. But the kids are still focused in. Our mentality right now is next man up. We’re giving some other kids an opportunity to get in the game and play and show us what we can do. “
East boys basketball opens district play Tuesday night in Corpus Christi at Miller at 7:30.
