East baseball grabs eighth straight win

With a playoff spot clinched, East baseball looked to stay in the district lead Friday as they took on Terry at Riverside Stadium.

The Titans scored six runs in the first inning, including a two-run home run by Kaleb Rael. That led the way for East to grab its eighth straight win, 8-0.

Chance McLeod had two hits and two RBIs for the Titans. Hudson Oliver pitched six shutout innings, allowing just four hits, to improve to 4-0 in district.

The Titans remain in a first-place tie with Foster. East baseball has non-district action Saturday afternoon at El Campo at 1 p.m.
