Early fog, warm but with showers developing later this evening

VICTORIA, Texas- Today:  Cloudy skies with moderate winds while temps warm up above average. High: 80.  Winds: SE 15.  40% chance of rain this afternoon.  Areas of dense fog before 9 am.

Tuesday Night:  Mostly cloudy skies as rain chances increase as well as the breezy winds while temperatures stay above average.  Low: 67. Winds: SE 10-15/G20 mph. 70% chance of rain.  Less than 1/10th of an inch of rain but more where thunderstorms are present.

Wednesday: Cloudy skies as winds stay at moderate levels with early shower chances before a gradual clearing of the skies while temperatures stay above average.  High: 81 degrees. Winds: NW 10-15 mph. An 80% chance of early showers.

Wednesday Night: Clear skies with light winds and temperatures around average.  Low: 53. Winds: NW 5-10 mph. A 10% chance for rain showers.

Extended Forecast: Thursday through Monday:  After seeing temperatures return to the 80’s through Wednesday, the mercury will stay in the low to upper 70’s the rest of the week with abundant sunshine until next Tuesday.  Rain chances will be around 10-20 percent but increases to 60 percent next Tuesday.  Overnight temperatures will range from 45 to 65 degrees but getting warmer overnight as the days push into the weekend.  A little breezy later in the week as moderate winds will be in the 10-20 mph range.

Synopsis: A cold front starts to push into the area on Tuesday night into Wednesday morning that will trigger some early showers before eventually dropping temperatures on Thursday for the rest of the forecast period.  High pressure moves in from Wednesday into Thursday that will allow for abundant sunshine right through Monday.  Storms will drag a cold front through South Texas on Monday and Tuesday that could bring early showers to the area on Monday and scattered thunderstorms to the Crossroads on Tuesday.
