Duane Crocker wins Victoria City Council seat in runoff election

Crocker defeated Chad Austin Hall for the seat

VICTORIA, Texas – Voters in District 3 selected Duane Crocker to serve as city council member. It was the third trip to the polls for voters.

Crocker came out ahead with 54.6 percent of the vote.

Crocker held a watch party at AeroCrafters.

After seeing the runoff election results online, Crocker said he felt relieved.

“You know just relief,” Crocker said. “Obviously really excited. Just really humbled and honored and just excited. Ready to get to work.”

Crocker was surrounded by family and friends when the results came out.

He said this atmosphere felt different and he enjoyed having the support of his friends and family.

“It was great having family and friends here,” Crocker said. “It was a little bit different than the July 3 election with just at home with the family. It’s just really special to be around friends and share this with them. I just couldn’t be more excited.”

He’s looking forward to serving the council with his legal expertise.

“You know that’s a great question, I think just digging in and finding out what I can find out,” Crocker said. “Be a student of what we’re doing, seeing where I can help the city and bring my experience to the forefront and say ‘Hey’ this is where I think I can help out. I’m just really excited about getting in there and going to work on the city.”
