Driver arrested after police chase in Edna

No injuries or damaged property reported

EDNA, Texas- Edna Police Department released a statement regarding a police chase Tuesday morning.

Jackson County Dispatch received a report of a reckless driver Tuesday. When Edna Police located and attempted to conduct a traffic stop the driver refused to stop and began driving more erratically, Edna Police explained.

The vehicle eventually stopped at Gayle and Highway 111, and the driver was taken into custody. Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputies assisted in the arrest.

There were no injures or damaged property reported. As of approximately noon on Tuesday, the driver has not yet been arraigned. The passenger traveling in the vehicle was released.
