Driscoll Health Plan held ribbon-cutting ceremony for new establishment

The Community Connection Center provides health education to the public

BROWNSVILLE, Texas – Driscoll Health Plan is in partnership with the County of Cameron and Cameron County Parks and Recreation. They held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, Sept. 16, to announce the establishment of the Community Connection Center.

Cameron County residents now have access to health education through the Center at no cost. Immediate supplies and monthly presentations are available to increase families’ awareness of health topics. Driscoll is aware families with health education are more likely to be healthier and reduce high-risk factors. The program’s goal is to address social determinants of health by increasing families’ awareness. It also aims to promote long-term healthier habits.

Driscoll Health Plan invited the public to join the ceremony online for the Virtual Grand Opening.
