Drier Conditions Next Week and Hazy Skies Monday

Hope everyone had a great Sunday! As expected, most of the rain occurred north and west of Victoria. Currently, the rain is north of San Antonio and Houston. The heavy rain in Uvalde this morning caused flash flooding in the city. The upper level low in Central Texas is moving northwest. African dust and drier air in the Gulf is surging northward which led to a decrease of storms today. The drier air will shut down our rain chances for the upcoming week. As our rain chances decrease, highs will climb up a tad back into the upper 90s. Moisture levels will rise again by next weekend which will lead to isolated showers Sunday. In the tropics, we are watching invest 98-L in the North Atlantic. National Hurricane Center only gives this wave a 30% chance of development in the next five days.
