INDUSTRIAL, Texas–Industrial football head coach Jamie Dixon is excited to have the players back to prepare for another winning season. Coming off a great year, coach Dixon isn’t expecting anything less from his team. During the team meeting, he said each player has to earn the wins and being picked to win district isn’t the same as actually winning it.

“It’s exciting we’re practicing so whether we’re in a crisis or not. I’m excited that we’re playing football. My expectation is to defend the district title and go further into playoffs,” said Dixon.

The Industrial Cobras went 11-2 last season winning the 3-A District title. However they came up short in the playoffs losing to West Columbus 28-34, preventing them from reaching the semi-finals.
The Cobras want to redeem themselves this year by not just winning district, but by bringing the championship to Cobra Country. The Industrial Cobras will have their first game at home on august 28th against the Ganado Indians.
