Deputy Garcia sworn into the Victoria County Sheriff’s Office

VICTORIA, Texas – On Tuesday, Dec. 4, Sheriff Justin Marr welcomed Deputy Sheriff Phillip Garcia to the Victoria County Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Garcia was assigned to Victoria East High School as a School Resource Deputy.

Deputy Garcia spent eight and a half years with the Victoria Police Department. He also spent two years with the Goliad County Sheriff’s Office before joining the VCSO.

Sheriff Marr swore in Deputy Garcia, and SRO Sergeant Mark Zimmer pinned his Sheriff’s badge on Tuesday. The Victoria County Sheriff’s Office asks the community to help in welcoming Deputy Garcia to the VCSO and to East High School.
