Jeff Meyer wins first political race

VICTORIA, Texas – Democrat candidate Jeff Meyer beat his Republican opponent in the race for the Victoria County Precinct 1 seat Tuesday night.

Preliminary numbers showed Meyer to be the clear winner against Vicente Flores, who ran unopposed on the Republican ticket. Meyer defeated Scott Townsend in the Primary Election by about 62 percent of the vote. This was Meyer’s first time running for a public office.

As constable Meyer said he plans to give his constituents the full-attention and public service they deserve.
