CUERO, Texas – Cuero’s Christmas in the Park is now open for the holiday season. Located in Cuero’s Municipal Park right off Highway 87 the holiday light display is now open every night from 6 pm to 10 pm. Christmas in the Park is also free for everyone, however, donations are greatly appreciated as they go back into the fund which helps with operating costs.
The city of Cuero has been working since late September to get everything set up. Bobby Seiferman is with Cuero’s Development Corporation and has helped with the set up of the event says that Cuero’s Christmas in the Park is one of the biggest holiday lights displays in the region.
“This is the quintessential holiday family event. the biggest outdoor Christmas display in southeast Texas, and it’s free,” says Seiferman. Cuero’s Christmas in the Park will be open rain or shine, Seiferman adding that in years past he can recall helping keep the event open to the public even during inclement weather.
On Tuesdays, visitors can find a new addition to the display this year, a selfie booth! It will be located at the end of the lights display and visitors can get their selfies to share with all their friends and families. Then on Thursdays, visitors will receive free hot chocolate to sip on while they drive through the park. On December 19 through December 21 there will be a live nativity scene with actors from Cuero’s First United Methodist Church. Cuero’s Christmas in the Park will remain open until New Year’s Day.
