The Lady Gobblers took out Sweeny in two straight to win the regional semis last weekend. Now they are one series win away from their first-ever trip to state. This is their second time doing it but this is my first time. This is my first time playing with them and it’s very exciting.” Said catcher Julissa Richmond, “It’s really exciting. Once we get this far the community’s really with us. We have big crowds and it’s the second time in school history that we’ve done it and I’ve been there for both of them. It’s really exciting.”
