Tax cuts in both budgets
Cuero and Hallettsville have passed their 2023 budgets.
The Cuero City Council has formally approved its 2023 budget.
The new budget lowers the property tax for Cuero residents, with projected sales tax revenues of $2.4 million, which is greater than last fiscal year. There will be a slight increase in water rates. Total general fund revenue for the City Of Cuero, $7.3 million.
Hallettsville City Council approved a 7.3% year-over-year decrease in the tax rate and adopted the city’s new budget this week. The tax rate is down for the second consecutive year.
The adopted general fund totaled more than $2.9 million in projected revenues.
