Cuero Football To Get State Championship Rings

Calendars are being marked right now in the Gobbler Capital Of The World.
Cuero football’s state championship ring ceremony, set for April 24 at Cuero High School. State championship head coach Travis Reeve, telling me that the festivities will start with player autographs at 5:30, and the ceremony will start at 6:00. Cuero football, earning its fourth state title, and its first in 31 years, by winning at Jerry World last December over Texarkana Pleasant Grove, 40-28. Jordan Whittington, now with the Texas Longhorns, rushed for a UIL state championship record 335 yards with six touchdowns.
