Crossroads TaskForce K-9 unveils 9 kilos of cocaine during traffic stop

VICTORIA, Texas – On Thursday, July 29, the Crossroads High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) TaskForce members performed a traffic stop on a passenger vehicle on U.S. 59 in Wharton County.

A Crossroads TaskForce K-9 reacted to the presence of narcotic odor during the traffic stop. A search was then conducted on the vehicle.

As a result of the traffic stop, an arrest was made of a male driver. Approximate 9 kilos of cocaine, concealed in a false aftermarket compartment within the floor of the vehicle, was seized from the vehicle, as well.
