Crossroads Man Participates in Rolex 24 Hour Daytona Race

Ben Keating, owner of Port Lavaca Ford isn’t only a car owner but also a car driver. Just last weekend, he participated in the Daytona 24 Hour Rolex Race. “It’s the first time they raced their AMG GT3 car in the 24 hours of Daytona and they chose our drivers and our team to do it,” said Ben Keating. Keating and his team finished 3rd, but if it was not for his wife he would not have a love for racing cars. “I’ve been racing for 10 years as a result of my wonderful wife giving me a weekend at the track for Christmas,” said Keating.

Keating’s favorite experience as a car driver also happened on the racetrack in Daytona in 2015. “The highlight of my racing career got to be wining the Rolex 24 Hour at Daytona. Back in 2015, this year it was a really special because we were driving a new car the Mercedes AMG GT3 car,” said Keating.
Keating next race will occur in March at the 12 Hours of Sebring in Florida.
