Crossroads Heart and Stroke Walk goes virtual
VICTORIA, Texas – The Crossroads Heart and Stroke Walk took place Saturday, and usually, it is a huge event that takes place at the victoria college campus but this year due to the pandemic they went virtual.
“I’m out here in the road in my neighborhood with Piper, we’re excited to go out for a walk and a jog and I just want to thank everybody who is taking part in the Heart Walk this year, we’ve got more participants than ever,” said Jesse Pisors, who was representing the University of Houston-Victoria team. “I’m proud to be part of the UHV team and I’m just so thankful for sponsors and everyone who makes this a successful event.”
Although the event went virtual the 2021 Crossroads Heart and Stroke Walk virtual experience was able to raise over $50,000, close to their goal of $65,000.
There is still time to donate before the March 6 deadline.
