Crestwood Drive reconstruction to begin August 26th

The reconstruction of Crestwood Drive will begin on Monday, August 26.

The City will reduce Crestwood Drive to one-lane, one-way eastbound traffic between Laurent Street and Ben Jordan Street for street reconstruction beginning the week of August 26.

Side street access may be closed periodically during the construction operations. Temporary driveways will be installed for residents or businesses with access only to Crestwood Drive.

This traffic change is expected to last approximately 18 months.

Drivers can expect delays in the work zone and should use alternate routes to get around the work zone if possible.

All businesses, residents and parking lots in the construction zone will remain accessible via alternate routes.

This construction is part of the $4,136,157.46 Crestwood Drive Reconstruction Project Phase I (Ben Jordan Street to Laurent Street). The contractor is Brannan Paving Co., LTD of Victoria. The roadway between Laurent and Ben Jordan will be reconstructed to include two traffic lanes, a left turn lane and dedicated areas for use as pedestrian walkways or bike lanes on both sides of the street.
