VICTORIA, Texas — Calabria Foundation Inc. has come to the Crossroads to provide free and fast COVID-19 testing.

C.O.O. of Calabria, Ram Torres, shared the importance of providing this test to uninsured people in our area.

“We’re always going to ask if they can provide insurance, then there may be a fee, depending if they have a copay. However, in most cases, 90% of the time there’s going to be no charge. Again, we provide this to help the community out for those who are either underinsured or uninsured,” he said.

The Victoria Community Center will be open from 8:00 AM to 8:00PM.

Their “finger tip stick” test is similar to diabetic blood testing, yet it will only collect 6 drops of blood.

Results will be sent to your cell phone, detecting all 4 strains of COVID-19.

Positive results are going to be checked twice and then sent to government health officials.

For a free test, please call 210-608-2184 to set up an appointment.

Torres urges everyone to call ahead and schedule an appointment, so they are not forced to wait. “Well, we’re trying to obviously provide an opportunity for those that are working late hours and can’t simply get away. You know, until they’re off of work. So this should give them plenty of time, but we do prefer that they do call the number that I provided. So they could set up their own appointment and we’re able to be prepared for them, when they come in,” he said.

The average completion time is 15 minutes, but please arrive early to check in. Walk-ins will take longer.
