County Sheriff’s send letter to Commissioners asking for Harvey receipts
VICTORIA, Texas — The Victoria County Sheriffs Office is requesting documentation from County Commissioners regarding expenditures. This comes after Sheriff O’Connor raised concerns the county did not properly spend hurricane Harvey recovery funds.
A formal letter was submitted on November 7 th requesting details such as itemized lists of work performed, work orders, and copies of FEMA documentation on money received through insurance claims.
Sheriff O’Connor letter says “As the elected Sheriff…Part of that responsibility is ensuring expenditures for work completed or otherwise related to this office are authorized and paid in accordance.”
