Community Crossroads welcomes Olive Garden

Olive Garden is making sure you know Bring Your Child to Work Day is Thursday, April 26, 2018. America has celebrated the day for about 25 years. It’s a time to inspire young minds to reach for the stars and do what they enjoy doing.

Patricia Hoffman will Olive Garden shows off four dishes for children and shows us how to make the Green Apple Fizz.

The STARS Banquet is set for April 27th. STARS is the acronym for South Texas Assessment and Referral Services. The non-profit helps children who have or are at-risk for developmental disabilities and related behavioral and emotional problems. The Banquet starts at 6:30 p.m. at Victoria College Emerging Technology Center. Tickets are $75. A table of 8 is $600. Call 361-575-0681 or click here.

The 2018 Art Car Parade and Hot Rod Review is Saturday, April 21st in Downtown Victoria. Magdalena Kuykendall with the Five Points Museum of Contemporary Art will tell us about the more than 50 Exquisite Art Cars, lowriders and slabs from all over the state. The parade starts at 11:30 a.m. at 700 North Main and winds through Jam Fest at Deleon Plaza. After the parade see the cars up close and personal at the Five Points Museum of Contemporary Art until 4 p.m. at 1201 N. Moody. Click here for more. Admission to the museum is always free.
