Community Crossroads welcomes John Quiñones

This week ABC’s John Quiñones was guest speaker at the Victoria College Lyceum Lecture Series. He invited students to dream big and make education a priority. More than 1200 people attended the event.

Quiñones has two books out. He signed copies of What would you do? and Heroes Among Us.

Quiñones was born in San Antonio and has worked in television journalism for almost 40 years. His hit TV series, What Would You Do?, airs on KAVU each Friday night.

Quiñones is a graduate of the Upward Bound program at Texas State University. During the taping of Community Crossroads about ten Upward Bound students looked on. Three of them were on the show presenting a special gift to Quiñones and asking the veteran news anchor questions.

Quiñones has three children, all of whom are following in his foot steps. Learn more about Quiñones and his journey on Community Crossroads.

Victoria County, the City of Victoria and District 27 Congressman Michael Cloud presented honors to Quiñones on the show.
