Community Crossroads welcomes Holy Family Catholic Church
The 37th Annual Holy Family Festival is Sunday, May 6th. It’s at the Victoria Community Center. Expect entertainment for young and old. Chris Hessler with Scoot’s DG and Rusty Stiens will provide music. BBQ plates are $10 and you can drive-thru to pick up your food. The fun starts at 10:30 a.m.
The Victoria College Foundation is available to help students seeking scholarship help to attend college. The Foundation distributed more than $700,000 to 1100 students in the Crossroads. Call 361-485-6838 or email Amy Mundy. You can also get started on the simple application here.
The Gabriel Project offers confidential and caring help to women who are pregnant and need help. The project has served Victoria since 2002 and started in Texas. If you or someone you know needs Gabriel Project call them at 1-866-MARY-AID (627-9243).
The Gulf Bend Center is having its Giddy Up and Draw Down fundraiser. It’s May 10th at Jaycee Hall 2905 E. North Street. The event includes a reverse raffle with $10,000 at stake. When five names are left that group can decide to keep going or split the $10,000. The Gulf Bend Center helps clients with mental health and has served the area for decades.
