College student launches company amid pandemic

VICTORIA, Texas — While businesses across the country recover from the economic impact caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, one Arizona State University senior is using the moment to launch his own company.

Jaron Lodge, a business entrepreneurship major at ASU, will officially launch Skip nn’ Hole on July 7th — a water game that blends cornhole and skipping stones. Despite the difficult economic climate, Lodge says spending the last few months homebound has actually helped his young company.

“It gave me enough time to make sure I have everything together,” said Lodge. “And then with everyone stuck at home with their backyard pools, they’re looking for fun things to do.”

The company will go live with a Kickstarter campaign on July 7th.
