Cloudy, Rainy and Chilly Conditions Persist for the Crossroads

Abundant moisture from both the Eastern Pacific and Gulf of Mexico continue to surge into the Lone Star State over an unseasonably cool dome of Canadian air. The result is widespread clouds and rain. Flooding continues over portions of the Hill Country and Edwards Plateau, where not much relief is expected for a few more days. The Crossroads will continue to see light to moderate amounts of rain through the weekend and into the middle of next week. Meanwhile, all is quiet in the tropical Atlantic, but near the western coast of Central America a storm system soon will become a Tropical Storm. Its motion will parallel the western Mexican coast.
