Cloudy and Mild, but Isolated Showers Expected

Cloudy skies and mild temperatures accompany a south wind at 10 to 15 mph late today, but no rain is noted over the Crossroads. An upper level disturbance gliding eastward across northern Mexico will spread showers from the Rio Grande Valley northward into the Crossroads overnight, but coverage will be only isolated at best. Expect isolated showers to persist Thursday and Friday, but a persistent southerly wind will allow temperatures to rise into the 70s to near 80. A weak cold front arrives around sunrise on Saturday but should induce no rainfall. After a mild Sunday, a strong cold front arrives with scattered thunderstorms on Monday. Look for fair but cooler conditions Tuesday and Wednesday.
