Cloudy and Cool with Light Rain and Drizzle Overnight

Warmer with Scattered Thunderstorms Friday

A stationary front straddling the middle Texas coast separates cool, damp air to its west from humid, warm along the coast this afternoon, with 25 degrees difference between Gonzales and Bay City. Cloudy skies accompany areas of light rain, drizzle and fog. Near steady temperatures are expected overnight, then the front moves north as a warm front to return upper 70s to the region. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms Friday and Saturday, then a strong cold front arrives around sunset on Saturday. Skies will clear and temperatures tumble, with next week fair and fall like, having highs in the upper 60s to upper 70s. Lows will be in the 40s and 50s.
