Clean Plate moving to brick-and-mortar store on Airline

A Victoria health food business is getting ready to trade in their wheels for a storefront.

Clean Plate Ready-to-Go Meals, which previously operated in a food truck on Main St., is preparing to open their new store at 1704 Airline Rd. The food service offers low-calorie and low-sodium prepared food options to health conscious consumers, in addition to bulk health-food orders.

Business owner Paul Tristan believes Clean Plate’s recent growth reflects increased demand in the community for healthy food options.

“To see other people lose weight, gain muscle mass…and then for them to come back and say, ‘hey, you helped me get out of this slump I was in.’ I mean we hear that all the time,” said Tristan.

Tristan added the company’s founding in 2017 came on the heels of his wife’s dramatic weight loss. He’s made it a core mission of Clean Plate to make those types of success stories a more common occurrence.
