City Officials Remind Drivers To Pay Attention In Work Zones
With the ongoing construction work on several Victoria area roadways, city officials want to remind everyone to be cautious and observant in these areas.
Ken Gill, engineer with the city of Victoria, says that some drivers have driven down some streets in work zones in the wrong direction. Paying attention to the work area signs will help to reduce traffic headaches or possible accidents.
“The public needs to pay special attention to the work zone signs. Crestwood and Red River are one way eastbound, and it is marked as such…and we just encourage the public to be cautious and pay attention to the signs,” said Gill.
As a reminder, you can only drive down Crestwood one way, entering at Laurent street and exiting at Ben Jordan. Gill says the expected completion date for Crestwood is spring 2021.
